Chengulam Boating
Chenkulam Dam is a gravity dam located on the Muthirapuzha river in Vellathooval panchayat of Idukki district in the Indian state of Kerala. Escape the bustling Munnar town and find tranquility at Chengulam Dam near Anachal, where peaceful boating awaits. There is a nominal entry fee for this serene experience. During our visit, we found one motorboat, accommodating up to 20 passengers, as well as two speed boats, each carrying four people, available for hire. The surroundings exude calmness and serenity, with lush greenery framing the picturesque lake, providing a truly delightful and peaceful experience.
Hydel Blossom Park - Munnar
The park offers amazing views of the exquisite Western Ghats and of the misty folds of Kannan Devan Hill Tea Estates. Munnar is a small town. Virgin forests, savannahs, rolling hills, scenic valleys, numerous streams, huge splashy waterfalls, sprawling tea plantations, and winding walkways are all part of the great holiday experience on offer for a traveler to Munnar. Munnar is also known for Neelakurinji, a rare plant that flowers only once in twelve years.
Chinnakanal - the most sightseeing location of Munnar
The Chinnakanal or Powerhouse waterfall is located a few kilometers from The Siena Village. Surrounded by lush high mountains, the river Devikulam is the source of this stunning waterfall. Chinnakanal waterfalls are remarkable as they spread over an area of 67.33 km2 (26.00 sq mi) with 3,210 families residing in them. The surrounding lush plantations give the waterfalls a classic appearance. You can snap photographs, relax, or simply sit back and enjoy the fall as much as you like, nobody is going to snap you back from the trance!
Anayirangal Dam & Boating Center
Anayirangal Dam stands out as one of the most enchanting destinations in Munnar. This reservoir offers a plethora of attractions and is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the breathtaking beauty of the high ranges. The journey to the dam, winding through the picturesque tea gardens of Lockhart estate and the scenic rock roads of Gap, promises a feast for the eyes. The awe-inspiring panorama of the Western Ghat mountains further enhances the charm of this location. During a boat ride on the dam, you'll be surrounded by tea plantations on both sides of the waterfront – on one side, a picturesque valley adorned with terraced tea estates, and on the other, a tea-covered hillside.
